BIO
Sage Surratt attended Lincolnton High School, where he played football and basketball and was an All-Conference selection in each of his four seasons in both sports. In football, he set state records for reception yards and touchdown receptions. In basketball, Surratt finished as the second-leading scorer in North Carolina history. Surratt committed to Wake Forest to play college football.
Surratt redshirted his true freshman season. He was named the Fred Biletnikoff Award watchlist four weeks into his redshirt sophomore season. Surratt suffered a shoulder injury ending his 2019 season. Despite only playing in nine games, he was named a semi-finalist for the Biletnikoff Award and first team All-ACC. Sage announced that he would return to Wake Forest for his redshirt junior season, however, before the start of the 2020 season, Surratt opted to sit out the season and prepare for the NFL draft.
