Ja’Marr Chase attended Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie, Louisiana, located in suburban New Orleans. During his High School career, he totalled 115 receptions for 2,152 yards and 30 touchdowns. Ja’Marr Chase (the No. 19 player in the 2018 Top247), ultimately committed to Louisiana State University (LSU), choosing to become a Tiger over offers from TCU and Kansas.
In 2019 as a sophomore, Chase led the FBS in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns and won the Fred Biletnikoff Award as the country’s best receiver. He was also unanimously named to the 2019 College Football All-America Team. Prior to the start of the 2020 season, Chase opted out of Junior season.
