BIO

Hamsah played multiple offensive and defensive positions at Concord High School, North Carolina. As a senior he was a US Army All-American, and a four star recruit for the 2017 class (according to 247sports.com). He had many offers for college, and he narrowed down his top five to Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State and South Carolina before committing to Florida State.

He played in 11 games each of his first three years, compiling 220 tackles (2.5 for a loss), 1 sack, 3 INT, 1 TD, 8 PD and 3 forced fumbles.  He was a Second Team All-ACC member after this junior year, but suffered a leg injury on November 30, 2019 which would sideline him most of his senior year. Coming back from that injury he was limited to 2 games, within which he had 13 tackles (1.5 for a loss), 1 INT and 1 PD.
